This soccer camp is for boys and girls entering grades 1-6. The players will be introduced to basic soccer skills, such as footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting form. In addition, players will learn about sportsmanship and especially about God’s love for them through a short devotion each day.
REGISTRATION AND CAMP FEE
The camp fee for players registered by May 31 is $15. After May 31, the fee is $20. The camp fee must be paid in order for a player to be considered registered. Included in the cost of registration is a Path to Victory t-shirt, and a water bottle. The camp is limited to 60 children. The first 20 campers to sign-up in each age group (Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6 ) will be admitted.
PICK UP AND DROP OFF
Camp participants will be dropped off and picked up at the registration tent near the entrance to the soccer fields at Barsness Park. Parents are welcome to stay and watch during the camp. If someone other than the parent or guardian will be picking up the child from camp, please inform us at drop off. A valid ID will be required to pick up the child.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
- Players should wear proper athletic clothes, sunscreen, soccer shoes (if possible), and mandatory shin guards.
- Each player will receive a Path to Victory t-shirt, which should be worn on the last day of the camp.
A number of coaches and volunteers will be assisting with the camp. Our staff is made up of college students, teachers, and other volunteers with various levels of soccer skills and training. We hope to create an enjoyable environment for all of the children, so they can learn about the game of soccer and about their Savior.
On the last day of camp, at 6:30pm, we invite all campers, parents, and family to join us at Barsness Park to demonstrate the skills that have been learned during the week. Following those activities, we invite everyone to our church campus for a slide show of the camp and an ice-cream social. We look forward to seeing you there!
